Moving to Pre-K ESE

WOW, School is about to start and I found out I am being moved to Pre-K ESE. I need to start learning sign language and changing my whole thought process for the year. I sent the summer preparing for kindergarten...

Now I need to step back and rethink everything....

Rainbows

I am preparing my week of rainbows. One of my focuses is on color word recognition. I would like my kinders to be able to read the color words fluently. We are also going to do activities based on mixing colors. 

I have prepared the activity from kelly's kindergarten (not my site but this is a great site for kindergarten teachers to get ideas--see my favorite links to get to her site). Scroll down to the science center activities...find the color paddle exploration. I will be using this in a literacy center. The students will be writing about their exploration after they completed the activity.
